QCOMM911 is a consolidated state of the art communications center located in the Milan Municipal Building. QCOMM911 provides 911 and radio services for four (4) police departments and nine (9) fire departments in Rock Island County in Western Illinois. QCOMM911 serves the following agencies: Moline Police & Fire, Milan Police, Blackhawk Fire, East Moline Police & Fire, Silvis Police & Fire, Hampton Fire, Carbon Cliff-Barstow Fire, Coal Valley Fire, Coyne Center Fire and Reynolds Fire.
QCOMM911 is staffed by 29 individuals including 26 Emergency Communications Dispatchers, a full time Training Coordinator, a Deputy Director, and an Executive Director. QCOMM911 is staffed by a minimum of 5 dispatchers at most times, responding to incoming calls. We have 9 identical console to allow for expansion. Training is supported by the Training Coordinator who oversees the Communication Training Officers (CTO). We operate three 8 hour shifts, which are run by the three Shift Supervisors. Technical support is provided by the Rock Island County Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB) and are also housed in the Milan Municipal Building.
